Hvattum StudiosBECOME A HVATTUM

Made once. Never again.

You see every piece before it's made. If enough members want it, we make it and number it.

€50 a year.

The first 50 are invited, and their first year is on us.

02 / The Way it works

  1. You see it first.

Drawings, toiles, fabric, the brass and the price.

  2. You have 14 days to order.

Each piece needs enough of you behind it.

  3. We make it, or we don't.

If a piece reaches its minimum, we make one run and number every piece. If it doesn't, nobody is charged and it goes into the record.

05 / WHAT YOU GET

A private WhatsApp group where you see the work as it happens.

Every capsule before it's made.

Your own page with every numbered piece you own.

The Record, with every piece we've ever shown, made or not.

IN STEP. OUT OF LINE.

It starts with images.

03 / FROM IMAGE TO OBJECT

I collect references from everywhere. Clothes, people, art, old photographs, interiors, things I see in the street. I put them together, twist them a bit, and turn them into ideas for garments and objects.

Then I send them to Martine Brand.

Martine has been sketching fashion by hand for more than thirty years. She sends drawings back. Some are answers to what I sent. Some are things she's been drawing on her own.

We go back and forth on the drawings, the references, the fabric and the proportions until something works. Some ideas get better. Most get dropped.

The few we believe in get made in small numbers by makers we've picked ourselves, around Europe. In the Studio you get to follow all of it.

Lars

Most of what you'll see in here never leaves it.

04 / INSIDE THE STUDIO

The drawings before anyone else has seen them. The toile that fit badly. The fabric we loved and couldn't use. The pieces we killed, and why.

Every week I post a Studio Note from the table, while a piece can still change. Some of them change because of what members say.

By the time something is made, you're one of the few people who saw how it got there.
